Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before using PrepWays, the rank predictor, our counselling programmes or the school management platform.

Overview and services

These Terms and Conditions apply to the PrepWays website, the installable PrepWays app, the NEET rank predictor and every service we offer (together, the "platform"). By using the platform, submitting a form or making a payment, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

  • The platform provides guidance, counseling, test preparation support for IIT-JEE and NEET, admissions advice, and school management platform.
  • The content and mentorship provided are advisory in nature and do not guarantee admission into any specific college, university, or program.
  • Admissions are decided only by official bodies such as JoSAA, CSAB, MCC, state counselling authorities and the colleges themselves. PrepWays is not affiliated with any of them. Final choices, form filling, document submission and fee payments on official portals remain your responsibility.

Account registration and eligibility

  • Users must provide accurate, current, and complete personal and academic information during registration.
  • Account credentials must be kept confidential; the account holder is responsible for all activities occurring under their login.
  • Users under 18 may use the platform only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf. Paid plans must be purchased by a parent, guardian, school or other adult.
  • School accounts may be created only by a person authorised to act for that school.

Payments and billing

  • Access to premium guidance, counseling sessions, and management modules requires payment of specified subscription or one-time fees.
  • All fees must be paid in advance via approved payment gateways.
  • Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The price shown at the time of purchase applies to that purchase.
  • Fees paid to JoSAA, MCC, state counselling authorities or colleges are paid directly to them and follow their own rules.

Subscriptions, trial and AutoPay

The School Management Tool is offered as a paid trial followed by a yearly subscription:

  • Trial: ₹99 gives full access for 7 days. To start the trial you must set up AutoPay (a UPI AutoPay mandate or a card e-mandate).
  • Yearly plan: unless you cancel before the trial ends, ₹7,000 is charged automatically through AutoPay on day 8 and covers the next 12 months.
  • Renewal: the plan renews every 12 months at the price then shown on our website, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Reminder: as required by RBI rules for recurring payments, we or our payment partner will notify you at least 24 hours before every AutoPay charge.
  • Cancellation: you can cancel AutoPay at any time from your UPI app or card mandate settings, or by emailing prepways23@gmail.com. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

Maintenance and service outages

  • Routine Maintenance: Scheduled maintenance, server upgrades, or bug fixes may cause temporary downtime typically lasting up to 2 to 3 business days.
  • Unscheduled/Extended Outages: In the event of unforeseen technical failures, crashes, or severe disruptions requiring application redevelopment, recovery efforts will be conducted over a resolution window of up to 30 calendar days.
  • Where possible we announce scheduled maintenance in advance by email, SMS or a notice on the platform.

Refund and cancellation policy

  • General Rule: All purchases are strictly non-refundable once payment is completed, except under the explicit service failure condition below. This includes the ₹99 trial fee.
  • Service Failure Refund: If the platform experiences an unresolvable outage exceeding 30 consecutive days and cannot be restored, active subscribers become eligible for a pro-rata refund.
  • Pro-Rata Calculation: Refunds will be calculated by deducting the full value of the months already utilized (at standard monthly equivalent rates) from the total amount paid. The remaining unused duration will be refunded to the original payment method.

Example: on the ₹7,000 yearly plan, the monthly equivalent rate is ₹7,000 ÷ 12 = ₹583.33. If an unresolvable outage begins during month 5, five full months (₹2,916.67) are deducted and ₹4,083.33 is refunded.

Eligible refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 working days. To request one, email prepways23@gmail.com with your registered name, mobile number and transaction ID.

User conduct and intellectual property

  • All study notes, counseling frameworks, tests, video sessions, and proprietary software interfaces remain the exclusive intellectual property of the platform.
  • Users may not record, reproduce, redistribute, resell, or reverse-engineer any platform material.
  • Accounts found sharing access or engaging in abusive behavior will be terminated immediately without refund.
  • Users must not submit false information, use another person's mobile number, or try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the platform or its OTP system.

Rank predictor and estimates

The rank predictor gives an estimate only, calculated from marks-vs-rank data maintained by PrepWays and the marks you enter. Official ranks are published only by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and depend on factors that change every year. Do not make admission, payment or career decisions based only on a predicted rank.

Mobile verification and communication

We verify mobile numbers with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. Use only a number that belongs to you or your parent or guardian, and never share your OTP with anyone.

When you submit a form or use the rank predictor, you agree that PrepWays may contact you by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email about your enquiry and our services. You can stop promotional messages at any time by writing to prepways23@gmail.com. Service messages such as payment reminders and maintenance notices will still be sent.

Mentors

Mentors are IIT alumni and MBBS students selected and verified by PrepWays. Their advice is based on their own experience and the information available at the time. It is guidance, not legal, financial or medical advice.

School accounts and data

  • Schools are responsible for the student, parent and staff data they upload, and must have the consent or legal basis needed to share it with PrepWays.
  • Schools must keep administrator access limited to authorised staff.
  • Where a school has a separate signed agreement with PrepWays, that agreement applies if it conflicts with these Terms.

Third-party websites and services

We link to official websites such as NTA, JoSAA and MCC, and use third-party payment gateways and SMS providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability, rules or charges.

Advertising, platform changes and reserved rights

Advertising. PrepWays may show advertisements, sponsored content and promotions, from PrepWays or from third parties (such as coaching institutes, colleges, publishers and education apps), anywhere on the website, app, emails and messages, at any time and with or without notice.

  • Sponsored content is labelled as an advertisement or "Sponsored".
  • PrepWays does not endorse advertised products or services. Any purchase or dealing with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser.
  • We do not use the personal data of users under 18 for targeted advertising.

Changes to the platform. PrepWays may change, redesign, add, remove, suspend or discontinue any part of the platform at any time, with or without notice. This includes its design, layout, user interface and user experience (UI/UX), features, content, tools, rank predictor data and pricing for future purchases. If a change materially reduces a paid plan you have already paid for, we will inform you in advance.

All rights reserved. All rights in the platform belong exclusively to the PrepWays team. This includes its name, logo, design, UI/UX, software, content, data and advertising space. You receive only a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the platform under these Terms. Any right not expressly given to you in these Terms is reserved by PrepWays. Decisions about how the platform is run, what it shows and who may use it rest solely with the PrepWays team, subject to applicable law.

Limitation of liability

  • The platform is not liable for indirect, incidental, or academic damages resulting from platform downtime, counseling decisions, or exam score variations.
  • To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to PrepWays for the service concerned.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. For paid subscribers, we will give notice of important changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith discussion; if that fails, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
